Welcome Boalers!

It's Gail! I am starting an Education Consulting business called, Edvance21, with the purpose of helping districts and schools integrate 21st Century Skills. I would like to do a blog for this business, but I have no experience. It was a suggestion that I start a blog for practice about something for which I am passionate in order to gain blogging skills. The Boal family is my passion. This blog will be shared stories about Boals and Boal relatives. I welcome any and all blog posts from family, friends, and others!

  1. I was limited in my first email to 10 "friends." If you know of someone else who might be interested in Boaling, forward them the URL you got in your email. The more Boalers, the better our league score!

  2. This blog title is especially relevant to me. My parents, Everett and Mary Lou, both belonged to bowling leagues. Mom was in the cereal league that bowled in the morning and her team was the Frosted Flakes, I think. I'm not sure if Dad's league had a name other than Men's Bowling League of Mt. Pleasant. I don't even remember who his teammates were. Anyone else remember?

  3. I don't know about your parents bowling leagues, but I know we had a great time bowling with cocoanuts and soda bottles. If I had a picture of that on hand ... oh wait - I do! Too bad I can't add that here!

  4. Clever title. I'm not much help because I don't recall hearing anything about the "boaler" part of the Boals. Ballgames yes, but bowling no. Love the photo of Uncle Ev and your blog idea. Look forward to more.

  5. You are welcome to send this link to your Mom if you think she can participate!

I have a great photo with your Dad in it... Look for it!

  6. I haven't figured out how to post pictures in this conversation. I seem to have to start a new one as the blog owner to get that done. Hmmmmm.....

  7. I added Karly and Pam as authors to try to figure out how that helps. Others who would like to try, let me know! Gail

  8. Memorial Day:
It was a beautiful day on May 31st. Dad would have loved participating in the Legion service! I wonder if they still play taps... Does the Girl Stater still recite Flanders Fields? I miss being a part of that.

We salute you, Dad, and all those who served with you.

  11. I haven't figured out how to post photos either, but was able to change my profile photo to Dad and me in '55 - one of my fav photos (so tiny but also posted on FB).
